Daemeon Fyral – Day 0

One of the toughest things for any of us is to hold ourselves accountable to others. There’s a whole “team shame” mentality about it because we’re honestly used to failing ourselves, and we’ve developed strong mechanisms for rationalization, but letting down others isn’t something any of us should be comfortable with.

I put out a Day 0 post for Harlon Mathuin not too long ago. Harlon is continuing to work strong, and I’m looking forward to his three month update. Someone else inspired by Harlon’s public accountability is Daemeon, who was also doing his due diligence in the TRX 21 day challenge I posted a while back. Continue reading

Greek Yogurt Chicken

Let me tell you that if there’s anything harder than gaining healthy muscle mass, it’s maintaining healthy muscle mass. You scrutinize everything you eat, questioning “How does this benefit me?” You become a predator on the hunt for more protein in any form; you simply cannot consume enough.

Today’s recipe is to try to give us a healthy, delicious tasting meal that delivers over 70g of protein per serving! Sweet damn that’s good! Continue reading

Interview: Voices from the Void

I’ve always enjoyed interviews. Not just for the publicity, nor for the arrogance that I get to be the center of attention once again for the duration of the podcast, but simply because I enjoy intelligent banter.

Voices from the Void provided that in abundance. They aren’t like one of those morning shows I’ve done where my entire guest appearance is a ten minute segment on the best way to cook eggs in zero gravity, but rather a genuine interest in me as a person, a personality, an icon, and a target for Hallan Turrek’s quick wit. Protein Pudding

Something that always amazes me is the excuses we’ve all made when it comes to healthy eating:

It’s too expensive.

We discussed that one HERE

It takes too long to prepare healthy food.

I’m really just a lazy fat ass that could care less

Well, you’ve come to the right place. I care. My readers care. Maybe someone will motivate you enough to start caring about yourself. Continue reading

DAY 2

Hmmm, only one entry/exit within the last 24 hours, I thought to myself. That told me one of two things. Either someone within the alliance had found the wormhole, and had come to scout it out to give our pilots a better understanding of what type of force would be needed to eliminate the present Sleeper threat (*EDITOR’S NOTE WIDE AWAKE). Or someone with less than pleasant intentions had scanned down this system in the hopes of finding and engaging me. Continue reading

Fandom

Self-absorbed, narcissistic, egomaniacal, cocky, arrogant, blowhard. Those are some of the nicer things I’ve been called on this blog by my detractors. It puzzles me honestly in some ways. I mean, if you really aren’t a fan of someone, why make the effort to come to their website, experience what they have to offer, then criticize in a non-productive way? It honestly is counterintuitive to me that people do this. If there is some form of media out there that I do not enjoy, I don’t go out of my way to experience it, only to comment on how much I don’t like it. Continue reading

Forgiveness and Permission

It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

A famous quote overused as a rationalization for poor behaviour. It’s like when people say I’m sorry. My response has often been “If you were really sorry, you wouldn’t have done it in the first place.” That doesn’t always apply, like if you accidentally knock someone over while engaged in conversation with someone else while walking through a busy promenade. In such an instance, you might be genuinely sorry. Continue reading
