Simple Things

So there I am at the local merchant, buying some eggs. Seems I’ve been buying a lot of eggs and egg whites lately. Miracle food and all that.

The overly large female Caldari cashier noticed my purchase and commented, “So I guess you’re making me eggs for breakfast?”

Without missing a beat I replied, “I guess that depends on how tonight goes.”

She smiled and laughed (a horribly grating sound), and packaged up my purchase for me.

As I left, she threw out a “Have a great day, darlin.”

It was a beautiful moment.
