Build Shoulders. Mixing things up a bit. Now I don’t know if it was purely psychological, or maybe just positive mental reinforcement, but over those last few days I had noticeably marked improvement, specifically in my neck, shoulders and arms. Things were starting to thicken. My neck bulged at the sides, my shoulders were starting to have depth, and my arms, well my arms looked like they were ready to pop out of my shirts. Whatever the reason, it was an awesome feeling, and I continued to push hard on that shoulders workout.
One more victory to claim. Heaviest weights yet, and I managed to push through it like every set was my first set. I was drenched in sweat, unable to breathe. My body had that familiar shake to it, and as I looked in the mirror, I was momentarily startled at the man looking back at me. He was driven, focused, determined, intimidating and for all intents and purposes, was a huge beast. It was only as a smile crept onto my face that I realized the man in the mirror was me.
