The harder I pushed myself, the more I truly came to appreciate rest. I’d once heard a phrase about how if you want something done, ask a busy person. It was finally starting to make sense to me.
That morning’s Arms & Abs workout had been fantastic. My right arm was hurting. It wasn’t tender to touch the ligament. The elbow and shoulder joints seemed ok. The bicep itself hurt. It didn’t feel like a tear. It was hard to describe. It was almost like someone had punched the deep tissue of it and it was rhythmically throbbing with stabbing needles of fire. I researched to see if this was part of normal recovery after really pushing myself, or if I had potentially hurt myself.
