National security is actually an important concern in the real world. Russian spies getting the bomb from the US was an objectively Bad Thing, for example.
But far too much information is classified based on an abusive definition of national security. So there you go.
I think that’s kinda the point. The existence of a valid reason for classified information on the national scale invalidates the argument that only those who are in the wrong should want privacy on the personal scale.
