My Frozen Banana

Sensing a theme here?

It has been incredibly hard for me to resist the temptations of ice cream. We all have weaknesses. Ice cream is my nemesis. I have searched far and wide for a truly “healthy” ice cream recipe. I don’t want alternatives like yogurt and such. If I wanted yogurt, I’d eat yogurt!

Finally, the holy grail of my dessert life has come to me, and it’s simple to make.

My Frozen Banana

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 bananas peeled
  • 1/4 – 1/2 skim milk

METHOD

  1. Slice bananas into chunks and freeze overnight.
  2. Place banana chunks into a food processor and begin to process.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of milk and continue processing.  You can add more milk if needed for the texture.

I like to eat immediately while it’s a soft serve consistency, but for scoops like in the picture above, place in a sealed container and freeze for 30 – 60 minutes.

BRUTOR BONUS

I also really, REALLY like dark chocolate, and if you follow my blog you’ll know that it actually has healthy properties, when eaten in appropriate quantities.

Feel free to mix in no more than TWO squares of Lindt 90% dark chocolate into your food processor while you’re making your ice cream. Oh man, I need to go make more now.

PS. I just found THIS!!! If someone would like to buy it for me, please send me an email.
