Iceland 2013 – Day 1

colonelArrives

It was a rather uneventful flight to Reykjavik. No security issues. No confusions. For once, things went normally.

Our hotel room is small, but cozy, and I do not anticipate us spending much time there at all so it’s not a problem.

After a quick nap, we went for a quick shopping trip only to discover the latest and greatest debit Visa card technology we both have prevents either from working in Iceland, and were forced to go to the bank and withdraw cash. A bit of a pain, but we’ll get by.

A bit of eating here and there, a little bit of sightseeing and planning, a nice evening spent with friends – a satisfying first day.
