I guess it all depends on:
– How much of a capsuleer’s brain remains organic
– How much autonomic control a capsuleer has over themselves through their implants.
@Thosewhoquestioneverysinglerule – There is a technique in which you lay on your back on your bed, with your butt against the wall, legs upwards resting on the wall. The point of sleep is to recirculate oxygenated blood throughout the system. Seeing as how your heart is in your core, by using gravity to push your lower body blood into the heart takes less effort.
Sleeping this way for 2 hours is equivalent to 8 hours rest. The downside, of course, is your legs are asleep when you wake up.
On another note, perhaps today’s rule applies to those who always leave right when the gaming is getting good.
That’s a cool tidbit. I should try that one of these days. I’d probably need some sort of brace though. If the key is circulation, maybe a cybernetically-enhanced heart would improve sleep times.
Posthuman FTW!
I’ve never complained about people’s bio taking precedence over gaming, unless it’s really intrusive or significantly and negatively affects other players.
Do capsuleers sleep? I don’t recall from the book.
As mammals with organic brains, I reckon that even capsuleers must sleep.

Maybe capsuleers have a different kind of rest.

There’s a few Transhuman/Posthuman theories that do away with traditional REM/Super-REM sleep partially or even fully.

Strength is for the weak.
