Well my regular job involves hiking a lot carrying a heavy pack, swinging a tool for hours on end, all that good jazz, or donning turnouts and SCBA and carrying tools, hose, etc for hours on end. :-)
Thing is, a lot of the "overhead" types in my job have a very limited, narrow view of what "PT" is, usually meaning long hikes, or long runs (min 3 miles), or the usual calisthenics like push-ups, pull-ups, crunches/sit-ups. If they're feeling REALLY generous they may let ya hit the weight room for an hour, but that may be just a couple days a month. :-/
I've never done the more "exotic" calisthenics stuff, and like it a LOT better, simply because it involves other muscles and doesn't just work the same thing over, and over, and over again.

After this, it is meant to open up a whole new world of activities to you that your body will then be ready for.

Ok so here's an "AmIDoingThisRight" question, kinda stupid cause I'm waiting til day 7 to ask it but... I noticed that you keep putting these into "circuits". My understanding of circuits is you're supposed to do all the exercises, 1 set each, then start at the top and do them all the way thru, x number of times, then take a quick stretch/shake out before starting the next circuit...
I don't see any "x number of sets" after the circuits so... ??? *confused*

Basically I'm just going through the whole workout without stopping (except to remind myself what the next group of exercises is lol), and if I feel like I can do more at the end, I tack on a lil extra arms, core, or legs exercise.
So is that how this is supposed to work, or...???

On the 6th Day, Hong did Day 5's PT, on the grounds that switching days was preferable to doing nothing for 3 days straight. Also he threw in some extra fun with a medicine ball doing some additional shoulder and lateral core work, since he appears to need it. lol

Be careful with swapping rest days. They are staggered for a reason.

Your body needs the back to back work days to become accustomed to the exercise.

It needs the single day, and the double day, to recover from the intensity you should be doing these workouts at.

Just a word of advice.

The fact that many of our archaeological finds unearth larger, and more muscular skeletal structures disproves you entirely. Where are you getting your information? Even Native Americans can prove you wrong on a more contemporary basis, seeing that they were very tall, fit, AND physically strong.
Actually, the evolutionary timeline shows the strength of humanity is its ability to adapt and reason. That is what has made the top of the food chain.

If you allow yourself amount to concentrate on the application of this point of view, it's about fruity Rudy fitness only. In the natural order of things, those that sprint, eat. Those that don't, die.

Old, weak, broken, they are the ones the herds leave behind. What good is the ability to run 40 km if you are killed by something that sprints you down in 40 m?

So, since you believe in evolution, you must believe man evolved from the earlier blueprints. If those blueprints relied on sprinting to be in pristine survival condition (read good health), then why would that blueprint have changed?

The only advantage being human has given us, with all our brains and adaptability, is the reasoning to figure out how to subjugate the world around us, and ourselves, allowing our bodies to do things they were never meant to do, good and bad.

I am happy to debate this all day, with respect.
